things to know about domain name transfers
When you transfer your domain name to Aztus, we will renew your domain name for one full year at our low price. For example, Network Solutions (now Verisign) charges $35 US per year to register a domain name; at Aztus, we charge only £6.71! Transfer Fees There are no transfer fees at Aztus! You will simply have to add one year, at our very competitive prices, to the expiry of your domain name. For example: If your domain name expires in November 2008, once the transfer has been completed, it will expire in November 2009. Initiating the Transfer Process To process the transfer of your domain name, use the form available here. You must specify the domain name you want transferred, enter the owner information and proceed for payment. Administrative Contact email In the transfer form, it is very important that you specify the same administrative contact email address you provided when you first registered your domain name with your previous registrar. If you specify an incorrect email address, the transfer will be refused. About Confirmations Once you have completed the transfer process on our Website, you will receive a confirmation request by email from Aztus, as well as from your previous registration service provider (or registrar). You must accept each request within 3 days or the transfer will be refused by your former registrar. These procedures are very rigid. To accept the transfer, just follow the steps indicated in the emails sent by Aztus and your former registrar. Transfer Delay In general, domain transfers take between 1 and 10 days. To avoid needless delays caused by potential problems with the transfer process, however, it is recommended that you initiate the transfer as soon as possible. In other words, don't wait until the last minute to transfer your domain. Keep in mind that we will simply add one year to your domain expiry, making it possible to transfer your domain at anytime, even if your domain name is not scheduled to expire in the near future. |
